Resale Shop Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteers are the heart and foundation of our Resale Shops. As a volunteer, you can help in many essential ways – greeting donors, sorting and pricing items, checking out customers and much more.
Whether you want to assist in the store or support our special events, we are sure you will enjoy being part of our family and fulfilled serving our community. Volunteers receive free training and have flexible shifts available with opportunities at all three of our locations.
Volunteer Opportunties
Sales Floor
Greet customers and assist with questions, maintain cash wrap, stock and set merchandise displays, perform other tasks related to sales floor operations.
Stock Room
Accept donations at the back door, sort and price merchandise, test and perform minor maintenance on small electronics or furniture items, additional tasks to prepare donated items for sale.
Special Events
Assist with fundraiser and community events such as the Suncoast Hospice Fashion Show, Luncheon and Boutique.
Teen Volunteers
Teen volunteers can learn valuable job skills while earning hours for school or Bright Futures and may take part in any of the above tasks on the sales floor, in the stock room or at special events.

The first step to volunteering is to complete a four-hour Empath Health Volunteer Orientation provided at no cost at our three Service Centers (Palm Harbor, Clearwater and St. Petersburg).
